Many towns and cities have business meet ups where you can network with business in the local area. This can be a great way to meet new people that are in your proximity that may be able to help you out in the future and vice versa.

 

There is the potential to gain many very useful and beneficial contacts at these business networking events and more often than not it doesn’t cost you a penny to get them.

 

  1. Join Social Media Groups

There are loads of groups on Facebook, Reddit and Forums all across the internet that can help with your bartering needs. Just search the internet and social media areas to find groups that are looking for your services, it can save you a lot of hassle elsewhere!

 

 

  1. Only barter for things you need

It can be easy get carried away with the idea and barter for anything and anything just to get the feeling of building up your business. Whilst this can be useful for some business, it isn’t generally the way you should do things.

 

Only barter for items and services that are a real use to you. For example things that your pay for currently that you could save money on if your simply bartered for those things instead.

 

Write a list of everything that you spend money on within your business and start by looking for businesses willing to barter for the things higher up on your list.
